Windows 7 Ultimate 32-Bit Graphics Driver BSOD!!!!

Hmm thats interesting Everest says something different than the device manager:
Everest Says:
The same Thing under 'Windows Network'
But the tab under that:'PCI/PnP Network it says 2 different things it says:
'Intel 82540EM Based Gigabit Network Adapter PCI'
and under that it says:
'Ralink RT2561 802.11g Turbo Wireless Network Adapter PCI'
Wth is this Ralink? =/

Sometimes more than one driver uses the same file and everest may not use the same method of deciding who owns it than device manager.

In goggling setr61.sys I found that its used by both linksys and ralink.

Im still wondering if there inst an underlying memory problem cause these different bsod.

two things

first can you run msinfo 32 in search, save the resultant file and zip it and upload it.

two all the ram came with the machine at the same time, right? and you aren't doing anything like overclocking. dont think you can but gotta check

You can also download memtest86 and check the memory

Also I'm not overclocking, but I did add RAM but I checked with the store and what I had to make sure it was the same kind of memory and it was compatible with my system, it was the same kind of memory I had before, just upgraded the space, and the memory has been working fine for like a couple months (I'd say atleast 6 months) with no BSODs on XP ever.

great so its impossible to have them in the wrong slots. when you buy memory its always a good idea to buy it all at the same time because they are "matched" to work together. Since you got one with the machine and another at a different time, we need to do a little digging to se if they are absolutely identical.

One way to check that is to pull out 1 stick and see if you get bsod's. if not swap and put the other in the same slut the first one was and try it that way. If no bsod with with but bsod with both then we need to dig further.

In the mean time get memtest86 and runn it to test your wmwory for at least an hour

let me know

edit for add:you can burn it to dvd

same here?

Hi,
I have a HP mini 2140 Windows 7 Ent installed. This netbook has intel 945 graphics chip.
I have the latest drivers, double checked - on Intel and on Hp site.
Everything was fine for 5 months now.
I have 3 BSOD so far randomly while watching video with Media Player Classic Home Cinema.
Event viewer says it was a 0x00000119 BSOD, google says it has sg to do with video scheduler. Any idea?
Thanks for your answers

Hi and welcome vasalarcos

Could you do me a favor and start a new thread with your problem? when a thread has more than one problem at a time it gets confusing for all of us.

OK they are similar, but short of running the memtest they both may be pc3200 1 gig sticks, but one might sync at one speed and the second at another.

Have you tried running with one ram stick yet?

Oh, Ken! I just found something in that last post you said, and found something you said that needs to be corrected....the computer came with 1 512 MB memory in one slot and nothing in the other....I removed it and gave it to good will like a loooooong time ago, and I went to the store and bought the 2 1 gb drr RAM sticks that I have, they are the same brand, and I put them in the same day, and bought them from the same place.....so its not the original one in the system and a new one, its 2 new ones

I did that already I uinstalled the driver and restarted and it said it was standard graphic VGA which limited my resolution to be stuck on on some ridiculously low screen resolution which wouldn't let me use any programs because the resolution is to low, so I updated the driver to the latest one which is XP (It is the latest one noone can find a newer one not on the intel or Dell website, nor googling was of help) I manually installed it, no compatibilty
mode because that wasn't working I manually installed it by going to the have disk option when you go to update driver and the driver works ......I just get BSOD when I try to watch videos otlr play maplestory or go on certain sites that have animation in their ads

Usually it doesn't make that much difference, but when the machine constantly BSOD"S, and there isn't any continuous cause, you have to start thinking outside the box
