Temp files will not delete in IE10

Hellows.
For the last two days. The temp files have not been deleting all of the way. I' am not admin of this computer either. So. Hopefully there is a solution I can do without harming this computer. I have also read that temp files can be stored on the computer for a week. Do you think after a week, the temp files will be gone? I'm starting to think my ie10 may be corrupted, too. I've had nothing but issues within' the last month with ie10. The link is a screen shot. Any help is appreciated. Thank You

Welcome to Seven Forums grungychick. Your screenshot show you have no Temporary internet files. You have Temporary files. Temporary files come from different applications on your PC. At the time you took that shot, your internet files were indeed deleted.

Hi and welcome to Sevenforums,
The default for Internet explorer to retain temp files is actually 20 days before it begins over writing,
There's is also Favorite website data that is retained by default that is excluded from temp files,
Although you only showed 88. kb in diskcleanup which is not allot by the way the default is actually 250mg for the temp folder,

The link A.Guy posted should do well to show you another process although CCleaner I don't believe is necessary,
You could also use System cleanup available after running disk cleanup,

But when you open ie10,
Click on the Gear symbol and Safety and Delete browser history or Alt+TD or Ctrl+Shift+Delete

The top section is checked by default if unchecked the Favorites.... data will not be excluded when you delete your browser history,

Thank you both for taking the time out to respond.

So. will the temp files be completely deleted after 20 days?
I never had any issues with the temp files until 3 days ago. Everytime I ran the diskcleanup. All the numbers were set to zero. I find it quite odd that number 88kb in the temp file..came up out of nowhere. Wednesday Morning was the last time, I saw the zeros in the diskcleanup. Should i run a full virus scan? Just to see if it picks up any malware or viruses.

I delete the browser history every hour. I never had the store your favorites at top there checked.

Your temp file problem doesn't indicate any infection, but virus scan are always a good idea.
You can also do http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/76383-disk-cleanup-extended.html and make a shortcut to have the Extended Cleanup anytime. Reboot after it and all types of temp file will be deleted.

Temp files are overwritten which might be one of the issues your seeing,
Personally I delete on exit so I don't know what you mean or how you delete the files every hour ?
It's better to let Internet explorer delete these files on exit than running disk cleanup every hour
It might be a good idea to see what your settings are set too now,
Go to the delete browser history page Alt+TD when ie is open,
Post a screen shot,

Britton's link is a better option to use instead of ccleaner, but I wouldn't run it every hour either

Microsoft compatibility view lists are considered temp files which these download automatically,
When ie is open use Alt+TB,
There will be a two listings one is Use Microsoft compatibility view lists,
The other is for intranet sites which I would leave that one checked but the other is purely optional,

If you feel you need to run disk cleanup once at the end of the day should be okay,
Just verify your settings on the last link I posted,
The only items I don't delete on exit is Cookies for logins for here.....

I use this every other day,
Temp files delete,
Run this as administrator and Start the scanner,
Shut your machine down after it finishes,

I run the Extended Cleanup after the monthly w7 updates. Day-to-day cleanup is handles by CCleaner.

Hellows, It has been awhile since I have last posted. I notice "Temp" is becoming a bigger number. it's now 100 kb. As i said earlier in my post. I' am not the administrator of this computer. It's shared computer. Is there another way to remove these files without downloading or creating a program? Everytime I open up the Temp Folder, all i see is a favorite icon, no files. Which i find odd. I have the folder options set to show me hidden files. Also, Will these files be permanently deleted after 20 days? I never had an issue with this in the past. Thank you in advance.

100 kb is nothing,
Consult with the administrator they are the only ones that can make changes anyway
Possibly whom ever is the admin will explain things more clearly ?
