That's a great deal. I really would buy one if I didn't have to SLi to run it, all of our TVs, Blu Rays and monitors are Samsung. Their stuff is quality.

I own 4 Samsung TVs of which 2 are already defunct - after a bit more than a year. Plus the ones I have in Germany are extremely difficult to set up. I had to pay someone appr. $100 to get it done. He needed 2 hours to program the channels. Next time I will buy German products.

The early Sandforces earned a reputation for unreliability but they have improved since then. I still prefer the Samsung SSDs, though, which is curious since I will not buy any other Samsung products (mostly due to poor support).

I'm a bit cautious about Mushkins, too. When I was evaluating SD cards when I wanted to upgrade from my old Class 4 to Class 10, Mushkin was one I tried because they had a good reputation. I don't know how they got that reputation because the Mushkin I got had the slowest file transfer times and took the longest to be "seen" by my computer. Kingston had the fastest card of the bunch and cost less. Oddly enough, however, Kingston also has a good reputation for RAM (I'm using Kingston RAM in my desktop machine) but a poor one for their SSDs.

Intel has went to Sandforce successfully, but I suspect it was hand built for their own SSDs.

Sandforce had a bad start and earned a bad reputation. Many people say they have straightened out now and resolved their problems. I still tend to shy away from them anyway, as I learned my lesson early on. If I were to try them again, I would go with Mushkin as they have excellent technical support. I have had occasion to use their support with other products and was surprised with how good and accommodating their technical support was. Their SSDs get good ratings so, that's where I would go if I were to try Sandforce again. Thus far I have stuck with Samsung and Crucial and have had good luck.

Mushkin's SD cards also got good ratings but the one I got was pokey on both of my machines. Even my old class 4 cards were seen faster by both machines.

I'm really unsure what SD cards have to do with SSDs, but I know a few people with Mushkin SSDs and I'll take their word for it over an experience with an SD card.

I have an SD card in my phone. Well actually it's a micro SD card. Again that has absolutely nothing to do with a SSD. :D
