I like the convenience of going to a local shop, but the prices are better online It seems.

I'm really liking my new kit. I am digging around as I need to get some spare tanks and get set up better. I really wish I tried this earlier.

That's one vendor according to one review is one of the Top 5 US eliquid vendors. I've ordered from them a few times as far as getting a full kit for the iTaste VV V3.0 last year along with ordering some ejuice from them on occasion. Virgin Vapor is another on the list but a bit pricey while they carry some gourmet type ejuice you don't see often. Vape Garden is one I just found lately carrying some rather interesting coffee flavors one being Dark Roast then an Expresso and Kino tried out so far.

Nettmix, Madvapes, ECigCharleston, Mom&Pop Vape Shop(has a ton to look over), and the one I order from regularly without any real need to steep anything would be Crystal Canyon Vapes also on the Top 5 list for US vendors. It helps knowing the owner too! We both were getting into vaping about the same time before he started the business up.

One thing I haven't gotten into is any Kayfun or other RDA build it yourself dripper/coils. That's where you pick out the gauge of wire and wrap it yourself as a DIY(Do It Yourself) project usually seen by those more interested in making big clouds and sub ohming. Here I have people that have little patience with things(still all smokers) I introduced to vaping but haven't taken it seriously yet. You have to "want to" quit in order to make the move to do just that. Some people would rather hang onto old habits as those seem to die hard!

Thanks Jessie, I was just curious because that tank was in the clearance bin over there, I might just shoot them an email.

They don't seem to list specs on their site but do you know if that is a standard size battery on the inferno that some other tank would fit on it?

I'll let you know Doug. As for that vendor I have seen them mentioned but haven't used that one myself, I know what you mean about prices online being cheaper.

Which is another place that I just saw mentioned quite a few times like your link, I'll let you guys know what I think of their stuff.

From what I gather Derek, the Inferno has a standard 510 fitment which means all the main aftermarket tanks will fit it.
I started off with a Kangertech Mini Pro 3 tank, it's not bad but a bit small for my liking. Right now I am using the Aspire Nautilus Mini which I think is a fantastic tank. The BVC coils in it give very good flavor.

I have taken a few pictures for you of my 2 tanks fitted to one of my missus spare batteries. The battery is a very basic Ego one and very small but as you can see due to it having a 510 fitment any tank will fit to that too. The battery is small so it makes the Nautilus mini look totally stupid on it :roflmao: (for size comparison to your own this battery is 60mm tall and 14mm across).

I would certainly recommend the Nautilus mini provided it's not gonna look silly on your battery. It measures 20mm across.

I watched a video of a guy who tested with different ohm coils. The voltage was not right on any of them except the 2 ohm coils. According to him, the inferno is optimized for 2 ohm coils, but he said with a 1.8 ohm coil, the voltage would be a little off, but most people would not notice any difference.

Yeah I just removed the info from my previous post as I think it was wrong.

According to the official websites they state the following info for the voltage levels.

Protank 3 - 1.5 ohm coil - Suitable voltage: 3.2 - 3.7V

Nautilus mini - 1.6 ohm(3.0-4.2V), 1.8 ohm(4.2-5.0V), 2.1 ohm(5.0-6.0V)

Are you familiar with the "Underclockers Club"? That's for the KSD or Smok Vamo, Vision Spinners, Smok Aro Winders, etc variable batteries and devices that start off at either 3.2 or 3.3v and 3 watts compared to the typical eGo or other fixed voltage battery(3.7v generally) with the exception of somethings that are variable wattage only like the Innokin 134.

As a rule you either vape with a fixed V/W whatnot or pick out a variable where most will turn it up above 3.7v and with some box mods like the Innokin MVP2.0 and other stuff those see 7 watts as the lowest! The same with their VV V3.0s not the VTR or some others. The point however is if you buy a variable you are already ocing! Or Under-Cing since some will want the cooler vapor.

As mentioned, the Inferno has a 510 connection. So long as the tank is 510 threaded you're fine. (they are by far the most popular threading)

Good point made on Ohms too. You'll want to stay within that range the Volcano recommends for the Inferno, since theres no way to adjust voltage. If you fall out of that range it will perform poorly.

For curiosity I plugged a few values into my Voltage/Wattage -> Ohm calculator.

3.7v into 2.0Ohm = 6.85watts @ 1.85 amps
3.7v into 1.8 Ohm = 7.6 watts @ 2.0 amps

4.5v into 1.8ohm = 11.25watts @ 2.5 amps
4.5v into 1.2Ohm = 16.9watts @ 3.75amps

4.0v into 1.2Ohm = 13.3watts @ 3.3 amps
4.0v into 1.8Ohm = 8.8w @ 2.22 amps

Not sure how this all works, but interesting. I'm guessing those amps are what really matters especially on batteries where the voltage can not be adjusted.
Probably only able to ouput so many amps, and going to low on the coil overworks it.

I have a Kayfun and a Russian 91%. Both perform similar but I would recommend a Authentic Kayfun Lite Plus over the Russian.
They are pricey, but are worth every penny IMHO. Thick,dense wet vape with lots of flavor. It's really good!

I would certainly recommend one to anyone wanting to get into rebuildables.
I've tried many builds and my prefered build is 28g Kanthal wire & Japenese Organic cotton.
Doing 8 wraps on a 3/32 drill bit gives me a 1.2-1.3 Ohm coil.

I've tried dual nano coils, chimney stacks etc and they are all good but I keep going back to the standard 8 wrap. Dual nanos (shotgun) was too hot for me as a all day thing.

They are also very easy to build. May be a bit overwhelming the very first time, build after 1 or 2 builds you'll be good to go. My very first build wasn't perfect, but still vaped better than anything I have.

Another bit of info I found out was the thicker the juice the quicker you will get through coils as it works them harder. Which means a higher VG content juice will burn out a coil quicker than a higher PG content one.

Eventually I will likely get into rebulding. Presently I have a bit invested in tanks that are usually seen(bcc not bdc presently) where the one I will notice most often is that the menthol flavors always seem to lack on the output stage as far as the Vapor part while they tend to stand out.

For others depending on which one some put out well on just the 3.7v battery depending on the tank or clearomizer in use while still not seeing any cloud. The vape is much cooler however for those that do not like warm throat hits! Presently I am trying to custom blend certain flavors that produce the vapor with the menthol to get more out of those without getting into the DIY stage as far as ejuice is concerned at the 6-8watt range. Despite getting a 20watt Vamo V6 in the mail today I won't be in any rush to be a "Cloud Pleaser" by any means!

For those that want to "OC Cloud Peformance" there's out there now that will leave you speechless! Try 180watts of Vapor power and half ohm upto 4 ohms! SMY GOD 180 Watt Box Mod $129.00 For the advanced at rebuilding coils and looking for vapor(fire) power to scare your neighbors away... this will work! They'll be calling the local fire dept.s when the vapor starts billowing out the place you live!

Now for keeping up on stuff like this I can refer you to two different places one for reviews including them also found on YouTube and another for specials on drippers and other things like you have there namely rebuilables. First some great reviews are found at 411Vapes.Com: Down to Earth Reviews The reviews are in video form for the most part there.

The second site lists deals by various vendors on mechanical mods as well as rebuildable atomizerdrippers, custom made wood mod/ecig stands, accessories, you name it! Vaping Discounts The front page there displays the daily deals that get posted where you would want to keep a watch for something you may want to grab at times.

That includes some actual medical research that can disspell some of the unfounded? stories and apparent smear attacks made by some sources against vaping. Whenever there is something good someone else will come in to knock it down. You know how that goes!

Got that text file made up to sort out the vendors not dealt with yet and comes to a total of 43 when you include where I got the first starter kits from ordered from in the last 22months following trying out the disposables. Two of them are not hardware or ejuice vendors but custom make wooden mod/ecig stands according the specifications you provide. The timing was good for the second of those! My collection well exceeds the capacity of either of the two stands that were made up for me. But haven't quite reached the point where I would need something this large!

I have 60 some odd flavor concentrates and it gets to be annoying looking for a 2 or 3 for a certain recipie.Sadly Im very disorganized so I end up looking through everything lol.

For me it wouldn't be about mixing since I take existing flavors and toss a little of something else in once in a blue for a subtle change as well as being able to make some suggestions to those who do. It's also one way to be able to vape off what you don't care for like choosing a flavor when going to buy a hardware and the ejuice you get in stinks! You mix with something left over or leftovers to null it and not waste the better stuff at the same time!

Here I have been trying out a variety of batteries as well as some new stuff just coming out this fall where organization and something to put them and yet be in reach was needed. You see besides the APVs as far as Vamos and box mods I generally order batteries in pairs once I got past the initial prefilled their brand only stuff and onto the refill with what you want type tanks and clearomizers. Plus having several tanks filled at the same time each with something different does take up space.

I wasn't aware there was a smear campaign against vaping but it doesn't surprise me.

I got a couple orders from vistavapors today, trying out a tobacco flavor first, not sure just yet how I feel about that one. I'll update later.

I got a few other flavors and a bottle of PG to harsh up some other bottles. They give you a little free sample with each order too, mine were a lime soda.

You might be not so surprised seeing one there! A year ago it was mostly eGo batteries in leather carrying cases until getting into better tanks and more vv/vw stuff that was to come shortly afterwards. By that time however the number of batteries and 1.6ml clearomizers had grown substantially from buying two of each thing(batteries bought in pairs) of almost each size. After the first eGo-C Twist starter kit(two 650man variable v batteries) I ended up shopping for carrying cases to keep them in. Then I picked the Spinner(only one surprisingly) to try out plus that was a 1300mah battery.

When November came along following my end of October order for the Innokin MVP2.0 I was just finding out about the Bottom Coil Clearomizer(BCC) type tanks and went iwth those. No more persistant dry wick issues and the need to turn the top coiled clearomizers upside down to shake and spin. And then the heavier stuff arrived!

As far as opposition to vaping as well as corporation and other interests trying to persuade how things turn out as far as regulations, taxes, bans, and even one tobacco companies alleged interest in controlling the ecig market to monopolize things in their favor only there is a lot going on! derekimo to keep up on! While Big T(obacco) is investing in their own stuff to sell knowing where things are headed Big Pharma is losing revenues on the pills, gums, inhalers, etc. they sell. They obviously want to see bans and limitation at least imposed.

I'm doing good with the new kit. I had my "slip" a little less than 48 hours in, but have now went another 84 hours without a cig. I feel the difference already and am happy I finally gave vaping a shot.

Now I'm thinking of the next juice to try, but am glad to be off Marlboro's
