If you followed any of the MS discussions on the W7 KB you'll find that it is all speculation and MS-speak and no one has provided detail on what is actually occurring in the Tracking Service. Until provided with proof, the logical assumption is that the service is collecting like data.
Text entry collection is "key-logging" no matter how you try to defend it. If I'm interested in todays news and type ISIS, I surely don't want my PC to be linked to some radical group. We become guilty by association.

I am not saying I do or don't believe that website I quoted in my previous post. When searching the web for Diagnostics Tracking Service, I found that website talking about the so-called key logger in windows 10 with the exact name of the update. So, I assumed like me, a lot people will assume the same thing. If anyone understand xml, you can actually download the update from windows catalog and look at the xml files. You will need the open source program like 7zip to extract the cab files.

- I have done a clean install of Windows 7 using Dell re-installation disk (Dell sent me one). I also use Free Macrium reflect backup and restore.
