I'm thinkin' they are an alternate way to mount SSDs instead of using a tray in a cage.

Oh okay I did think they were appropriately sized for a ssd or smaller version of hdd's now days

The lack of wiring on my new case is a surprise considering how many reviews criticized the routing of wiring ?
Is the harness a separate item looks as though it is in the case I bought from Amazon

asus X99 sabertooth & corsair H110i liquid cooler = "Newegg" 444.82
i7 5930k & evga 1200 P2 = "Micro Center local" 828.09
Total so far 1503.42

Still need ram likely corsair 4x4gb 350./ 1-gpu 650+ t-s and some assembly required
Likely another 1k minimum sometime in June :/

Well I finally found out that ups does have free tools available to control delivery options to hold for pick up
UPS My Terms using the free version the paid for gives you a 2 hr. heads up on when a package is supposed to be delivered for 5.us more per package = yea I'm not going to pay for that,

But the free does give the option to Hold for pick up at local station which is what I've been trying to do for years without success

Either way seems my Mother board and h110i cooler is ready for pick up I'll see in a hour or two if this is true or not
Last alert was it was to be delivered today lol I guess they might of missed the freaking Hold :/

There was a reason we called UPS OOPS back when I worked shipping and receiving.

Yea I believe they are using a version of Stop Loss the military used for losing troops,

UPS's version is to stop repeated trips to redeliver if nobody is home so they just drop and run instead of putting a redeliver notice on the door.
They will never admit to it though and blame the company you bought it from as the reason they drop it,

UPS looses on redelivery attempts not the retailer
Customer looses if package is stolen or dropped at the wrong door step.

Getting to some really confusing terms :/

Assist fans and Channel fan connections
Cpu fans 2-sp140 intake are handled by the new Corsair h110i GT that connects to a sata cable not sure which port on the psu evga 1200 P2 sata2/3 ....

But the top rear fan exhaust = is this a assist fan or channel ? 1-af120
Front 2 fans intakes same deal assist or channel ? 2-af140

I'm afraid the mobo manual only uses more confusing terms than helpful ones

What mobo did you get Mike? A Sabertooth? If so the assist fans are the two small ones built into the motherboard, they provide extra airflow to assist with mobo cooling. The channel fans will be any case fans you connect to the fan headers on the motherboard.

So your saying use the channel fan connections for the case fans which there are 3
2- front
1-top rear
Mobo manual only specifies only use assist connections for assist fans and channel connections for channel fans lol

As far as the built in fans for the mobo I've only seen 1 of those buggers at the top right of the board with the X99 logo which removing the plate and adding the fan in it's place and the connection is the easy one it only fits one port in the cpu fan connections

It doesn`t matter which sata power cable you hook it to, it`s just power, power cables don`t have port numbers.

As Gav said, the assist fans are the small tiny fans and the chassis fan headers are for 120`s or 140`s.

Then there`s the cpu option fan header, I have to find out exactly what that one is for.

The specs say you have 4 chassis fan headers.

4 x Chassis Fan connector(s) (4 x 4 -pin)
5 x Assistant Fan connector(s) (5 x 4 -pin)

Why does it say 5 Assist fan headers, it only has 1 small fan doesn`t it ?

Your lone assist fan plugs into one of these, it`s clearly marked assist fan.

Doesn't seem to be a lot of difference between Performance and Quite pump mode. Or the default fan(s) and maximum. (Two degrees - Delta or above ambient.)

No, it goes to the cpu fan header, not the optional cpu fan header.
I doubt if there is a difference, but you always hook your cpu to the cpu fan header.
All that black cable does is report the pump speed, the I link cable does everything else.

This is right out of the manual.

Ya, and there`s no real temp difference between silent, balanced and performance with the fans, so I leave them on silent
