Pathetic country called Philippines.
I bought a new laptop and I don't like the sound of it even I'm listening through my earphones. There's also no option to change your equalizer, been thinking about downloading Realtek. Is it okay? :)

Realtek is ok; but to be honest; i dont think you can just download a new software program like realtek as it has to be compatible/designed for the card that came with the system. You cant just download a new software program and have it work. It has to be designed for the card you have. And in laptops its very difficult to change them out unless the laptop has a expansion slot on the system board to do so. so you may have to stick with what it came with. However; you may be able to do a search for a program that might work with your current one that will allow you to adjust the settings.

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.
There are USB sound cards, although I have no experience with them. I guess some of them can be of good quality.

Thinking one step farther. A sound system will only work as good as the speakers used. In other words. If you put a $1000.00 sound card in your laptop and have it hooked to $5.00 speakers you get a $5.00 sound.

Once again, Layback Bear has got it.

No sound card is going to make a major difference in your listening experience over typical headphones or speakers.

If you had high quality speakers or headphones and then changed from a good sound card to an average sound card, you may not notice any difference with that either.

Put your money, time, and effort toward headphones or speakers, rather than the sound card--assuming the sound card is not outright defective or malfunctioning for some reason.

Or possibly upgrade your source material. A lousy source will sound lousy with the finest soundcard, the finest speakers, or the finest headphones. You can spend $10,000 or more and have a perfectly reproduced pile of crap that would run a funeral up an alley.
