Don't see how to update Win 7 without installing Win 10

I have Windows 7 Pro x64 set for automatic update. But yesterday, I noticed that no updates had been installed this month, so I checked for updates to make and found about 17 of them, including Win 10. I unchecked that one and proceeded. The computer hung up on installing the 11th update (KB3121461), so after waiting half an hour I clicked Stop Installing. I had error messages and problems running update again and running the programs you list under Windows Update Posting Instructions, but I failed to log them, and they seem to have cleared up.

Today, all seemed normal, and an update check showed one important and four optional updates left to do. Win 10 was not listed. When I checked the boxes for these updates and clicked OK, I got a screen whose only clickable button was in the Upgrade to Windows 10 box. I don't want to do that yet--how do I get my other updates to install?

If you look in the registry HKEYS LOCAL MACHINE and CURRENT USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > Current version and and fin GWX there it means the update for the upgrade is already on your machine - I just right click on it and delete the whole entry.

How to install updates without installing Win 10 yet?

Most of last Tuesday's updates have installed. But when I checked for updates available, I found four left over. I would like to install them --but the only thing I can find to click on is in a box touting Win 10, and I don't want to install that yet.

Windows Update tells me the others are downloaded and awaiting installation -- how do I complete the update without invoking Win 10?

As far as I know all you need to do is use the batch file to enable 10 if that is what youare asking.

It doesn't seem to work, in my case. I can use this advice to hide all the updates I don't want to hide, but the Upgrade option shows only on the main Windows Update screen, not in the list of available updates. And right-clicking on "upgrade to Windows 10" does nothing.

Your first screen shot is showing the Important updates,
Switch to the Optional updates section
You'll see Win-10 there right click it and select Hide.
