Win 7 64 bit i have , 9.1.1.1015 is that last version that will install, any newer version there after no go

I get the same thing on a plain P6T Deluxe, running Windows 7 x64 build 7100 (RC1). Playing with the -overall, -override and -aonly switches didn't help. Not sure if this is an ASUS issue or something amiss with Intel's installer.

X58 is ostensibly a 5-series chipset, along with P55. I'm not too concerned about it, though, I'll chalk it up to pre-release Win7 oddness.

My DX48BT2 is a series 4 mobo but i also get that error about a non supported OS. I just wonder if Intel made a mistake with their tag lines on their download center and we're all downloading the wrong version.

I grabbed the linked file and ran it (even though it is not for my machine)

Ok Ive found that the files are copied to C:\Users\swarfega\AppData\Local\Temp\IPMx2 temporarily until you close the installer when theyre removed. I dont have those specific items on my machine that you list in that inf i dont think. What system device do I need to select in device manager in order to be able to update the driver?

I am simply attempting to point out that the target OS is identified in the INF files, to address your concern that the website may contain an error.

oh ok

Are you eXPeriencing a particular problem? Any of these will do (if you wanted to force the install by copying the temp files while they still exist), but I would use the Intel installer.

Chipset: Intel® Chipset Device Software for Intel® Desktop Boards

Read the INF contents.

Doesn't show p55 / i5 support in that version. Maybe stick to the 1019?

If I remember right 1019 is on my Gigabyte disk that came with my P55 mobo.

What is the difference between the RTM and the GP version in regards to this situation? I was under the impression that the RTM is the final version?
