AIO Windows 7 setup loads Windows 10!

I had also Windows 10 rar in a separate folder of my PC.

May I ask, why are you using RAR ?????

I'm thinking it's an ISO but since WinRAR will associate itself with ISO files it will show a WinRAR icon on the ISO.

Of course it`s an iso file, but why does he have rar installed, or why is he downloading rar files ? Why is rar even mentioned ?

There should be no mention of rar, just download the iso file and have an iso program on your PC like PowerIso for example, or a free program like Free IsoBurner, and set that as your default program.

He said Dude :roflmao:

If you`ve made a Windows 7 install dvd from this iso file and used it on other computers to install Windows 7, then why not use that dvd (or whatever method you used) to do the repair install, instead of the iso file.

Windows.7.SP1.AIO, error on upgrading 64bit

Hello to Brink and all the other friends
I have an AIO Windows 7 ISO. But when I run the setup, an error window appear saying "Use the other installation disc that says 64-bit. ..." (Look at the attached picture.)
My ISO is AIO, so why this error pops up?

Hello DrGhobar, :)

The issue is with your AIO ISO. For a repair install, it must only be for the exact same edition (ex: Ultimate) and version (32-bit or 64-bit, but not both) of Windows you have installed.

Hello DrGhobar, :)

The issue is with your AIO ISO. For a repair install, it must only be for the exact same edition (ex: Ultimate) and version (32-bit or 64-bit, but not both) of Windows you have installed.

I opened the folder named "sources" and ran setup.exe file. That error did not arise.
Can this setup.exe repair my existing windows?

Nar, it'll need to be the setup.exe file from the root directory for an in-place upgrade.

Then why this AIO setup.exe works for 32-bit version?

An AIO ISO may sometimes work for one (ex: 32-bit), but often will not work for either to do a repair install with.

When doing a repair install, it's best to use an ISO that is only 32-bit or 64-bit and not both.

I am new here but this item caught my attention! A number of people are reporting that Microsoft are now installing Windows 10 without any acceptance by the owners! They are using an installation file that Microsoft have already downloaded to people's machines silently!
I have read there is a program called GWC Console that enables operators to stop this happening. I have not used this program so cannot vouch for it.
