How did you set it up?

It can be that it is waking up by an event (software or hardware).
Look on the power settings and disable wake up on timers etc

Hibernation after sleep

How did I set it up? I went into Power settings, clicked Advanced power sttings, and set Sleep>Hibernate after>300 minutes. But when I just went back to it, Hibernate after was changed to 180 minutes. I changed it back to 300 minutes I had previously set. Still 180 minutes is three hours, and my computer habernates after less than two hours. (Within 1' 50")

I found no wake-ups etc in power settings.

I am puzzled how 300 minutes changed to 180 minutes; I certainly didn't change it.

Under advanced power settings - sleep - Allow wake timers

It can be that the max is 3 hours.

Fast to hibernate

The delay to hibernate on my control panel minute counter goes over 1000 minutes. I had just set it to 400 minutes, went back a minute or two later, and it had auto reset to 120 minutes. I changed it back to 400 minutes, and so far that has stuck.

But in the past, when I set the counter for 300 minutes, and it hibernated in less than120, the counter remained at 300. The computeer was just ignoring it. This auto reset of the counter is new.

It appears that the problem has ceased. Switching from sleep to hibernation now apears to be at more or less the time I have set. I have no idea why the problem ended, any more than why it began. Computers sometimes baffle me. I hope correct operation will continue.
