Convert recovery partition to a DVD ???

Is it possible for me to convert the recovery partition to a DVD ?
I used the recovery once quite some time ago to put things back to day one and it did just exactly that.
Disk Management shows the partition to be 8.51-GB; does that mean it would require two DVDs ?
I have read of people doing this in Win 8 and Win 10, but those instructions say they will not work for Win 7.
I did a search for information and was unsuccessful.

You would better using a usb stick. It should be possible to span dvds, but using a 16gb or larger flash is simpler.

I can use a flash-drive if that is better; can someone point me toward detailed "for dummies" instructions on how to go about this ?

Will this be specific to the source machine, or can it be used on any machine that has the same O/S; if not, can it be used on machines that are physically/mechanically identical to the source machine ?

Format a flash drive ntfs or fat32.

You can probably just copy the contents of the recov partition onto the flash. Need to see the contents to be sure.

You should be able to see what is in it by assigning a letter.

I just checked it out and it is "uBlock Origin" ; I have it on all of my browsers; it was within my price range (free) and completely eliminates all those annoying ads.

I didn't know that it filtered downloads and such as well.


Now that I have the tools, what is the process to accomplish this; I guess assign a letter to the recovery partition and see what it consists of ?

Maybe I am not quite understanding something; I opened cmd and typed exactly as shown and when I hit "enter" all I got was "access denied"; I closed cmd and opened again, except this time I right-clicked and "open as administrator", typed the command again, hit "enter" and nothing whatsoever happened that I could see.

What am I missing ?

About every two seconds, I am getting a warning that the drive K: is full and the situation needs immediate attention; this soon becomes annoying.

Now that I have access to the contents, can I copy everything to a separate folder for further processing and remove the letter from the partition ?

I thought I did; all I found is a text document which I opened with notepad and posted the screenshot above; what am I missing ?
