Eileen, you're running in circles. You have to focus on one task at a time.
Forget running anti virus, removing N360, FACTORY RESET etc.
If your disk is dying and I think it is, every task you do on the disk will short your chances to save your data.

That said, open event viewer (%windir%\system32\eventvwr.msc /s)
then Windows Logs (2nd choice on left) -> Application (1st sub-choice)
On the Right, under Actions > Applications - Find type Wininit
It will stop on the last check disk log. Double click and it will open another window. Hit copy and then paste here.

Is the Factory Reset for your monitor. If so, I would give that a shot.

I honestly don't know why you're having such a problem uninstalling Norton 360. I needed to uninstall it recently to install Norton Security and it took about 5 minutes. I love Norton. Been using one version or the other since 1990 and it's the most effective but least invasive anti-virus I've found.

When you're running windows it can't go into safe mode. To run Safe mode (is a kind of clean boot) you have to be starting the computer.

- To uninstall software you run Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features, select the software and hit uninstall.
- If you have run Macrium Reflect Free it probably created a disk image file, that is very, very big.

Once again, you have to focus one problem at a time. Let's return to the freeze and black screen.

At no load your GPU (graphics processing unit) is already at 72ºC. As you wrote that it freezes when using a graphics program, the GPU may be the responsible.

As it is 10 years old, the GPU fan can be damaged or the GPU heat sink may be clogged with dust.
IMPORTANT: Don't move the computer while it's on.
- Shut down the computer
- Open the left side of the case.
- With a flash light inspect the GPU heat sink and the CPU heat sink. Look for dust clogged fins.
- Turn on the computer.
- Does the GPU and CPU fans spins normally?

I can tell you it has NEVER been looked at before.
