Solved Possible to copy Office 2007 program files to install on another pc?

2 laptops both of which had Office 2007 Enterprise Edition with different product keys.

I laptop had a hard disk corruption so lost basically everything on it. No system image........
I could really do with Word and Excel and ideally Outlook but not so bothered about that.

Is there a way to copy/image the Office program files I have to the restored laptop and then activate with the original key?

Office Enterprise is a version MS supply to institutions such as schools etc.. If you are still employed by this institution, you should be able to get a new copy of Office, but it's unlikely to be Office 2007. If you now have no connection to the institution you will have to buy a new copy of Office, either Office 365, which is a subscription version, or Office 2016 or 2019. Buying a second hand version on Ebay or similar is not a good idea as they are often pirated or faulty.

LibreOffice is a free alternative for MS Office. I actualy like it better than MS Office. Your only other safe option is to pony up the full purchase price for MS Office 2019. The only place I trust for buying software like this is Newegg. Amazon has been known to sell counterfeits and eBay is rife with them.

Most progrms, including MS Office, can't be copied from one computer to another, even with the license key. They have to be installed on a computer.

MS offers on-line versions of Word and Excel for free. The on-line versions lack all the features of the paid versions but they are perfectly usable for the majority of users.

Of course the drawback to the on-line versions is that you need to be on-line to use them but most people have always-on internet connections these days so that would only be an issue if you plan to edit your documents while mobile with your laptop with no internet connection.
