Hello everyone first time here,

Would really appreciate some help, had my computer off for a few months and turned it back on. Never had any issues with it for over 5 years and recently did a windows update that failed and "reverted" back to old settings. Ever since then when I play any youtube or video with several tabs open up it freezes and restarts with a blue screen. I can only imagine it may be a driver or update issue but would love guidance on the right method of fixing it. I've uninstalled a few updates and it hasn't changed much

I can post more but I did not get the details beyond the first few lines. I'll update if it happens again as its restarted several times

I can only imagine it may be a driver or update issue but would love guidance on the right method of fixing it.

Please perform this [it will rule out device errors] . . .

Under the heading msinfo32 [MS System Information] - Problem Devices . . ., please run MS_Info32_Find_Problem_Devices.bat, Option [2] from here => BATCH PROGRAMS [Standalone] and then upload the results using the tutorial at the bottom of the above link [Upload to SevenForums . . .] and someone will look at it for you.

[1] You have indeed uploaded that file correctly!
[2] But, you have run the WRONG batch script!
[3] What we have found out though, by you running chkdsk is that you DON'T have ANY bad sectors, which is always good!

Thank you Mrpepka, is that the consensus for everyone in terms of fixing my problem? My concern is that I checked my driver details and last update is the version I have. I will try reinstalling and see how that goes. As for the other 2
Do you guys see that the driver is out of date and requesting it? Or this a general blanket fix for most problems.

Hi Clooud,

If you run my batch script it will tell you if there are any problem devices, and possibly exactly what the problem actually is [error code, driver not installed etc].

HAH I figured it out did not know that page was as long as it was and found your script. Thank you for dealing with my novice-ness hehe.
At the end of the script it said NO PROBLEM DEVICES found and deleted the .txt file

OK. That tells us that there doesn't appear to be a device or driver issue!

[1] Do you have automatic WU's on?
[2] Can you remember what the WU [KB number] was?

You can try and see. The Intel driver I pointed out is so outdated that you even need to update it. As for the NVIDIA driver, if it is the latest version then uninstall it with the DDU program and reinstall the clean driver without unnecessary software

I will try that MrPepka as today I just reinstalled over the existing one.
As for Paul
1) I manually update when the popup comes up so I think the answer is no but the popup does come "automatically"
2) Where is the best place to check? When I checked installed updates I see Security Update KB 4503292

Also thats not a good sign, I tried to runt he DDU and it gave me a giant screen saying ERROR
"Launching main window failed" anyone ever come across this?
