IMPORTANT Customers who have purchased the Extended Security Update (ESU) for on-premises versions of some operating systems must follow specific procedures to continue receiving security updates after extended support ends on January 14, 2020. For more information, see KB4522133.

IMPORTANT Starting on January 15, 2020, a full-screen notification will appear that describes the risk of continuing to use Windows 7 Service Pack 1 after it reaches end of support on January 14, 2020. The notification will remain on the screen until you interact with it. This notification will only appear on the following editions of Windows 7 Service Pack 1:

• Starter.
• Home Basic.
• Home Premium.
• Professional. If you have purchased the Extended Security Update (ESU), the notification will not appear. For more information, see How to get Extended Security Updates for eligible Windows devices and Lifecycle FAQ-Extended Security Updates.
• Ultimate.

Note The notification will not appear on domain-joined machines or machines in kiosk mode.

This security update includes quality improvements. Key changes include:

• Security updates to Windows Input and Composition, Windows Virtualization, Windows Kernel, Windows Peripherals, and Windows Server.

How to get this update

Before installing this update

Prerequisite:

You must install the updates listed below and restart your device before installing the latest Rollup. Installing these updates improves the reliability of the update process and mitigates potential issues while installing the Rollup and applying Microsoft security fixes.

• The March 12, 2019 servicing stack update (SSU) (KB4490628). To get the standalone package for this SSU, search for it in the Microsoft Update Catalog.
• The latest SHA-2 update (KB4474419) released September 10, 2019. If you are using Windows Update, the latest SHA-2 update will be offered to you automatically. For more information on SHA-2 updates, see 2019 SHA-2 Code Signing Support requirement for Windows and WSUS.

After installing the items above, Microsoft strongly recommends that you install the latest SSU (KB4531786). If you are using Windows Update, the latest SSU will be offered to you automatically. To get the standalone package for the latest SSU, search for it in the Microsoft Update Catalog.

End of support for Windows 7 will be January 14, 2020, which so happens to be a Patch Tuesday (second Tuesday of the month) so there will be one last Windows update.

It's a 'Security-only update', these haven't appeared in Windows Update since late 2016. Only the 'Security Monthly Quality Rollups' now appear in Windows Update. You can either install the latest rollup which will also include the Security fixes, or you have to download this update manually from the update catalog (or Brink's links above).

Ohh I think i understand your saying. Since I installed the KB4530734 showing up from checking the WU its the Security Monthly Quality Roll up, then I don't need to have the KB4530692 one cause its just a Stand Alone one that was replaced by the larger one I got first. So that's why its not gonna show up when searching for Windows Updates. That Kb4530692 one must have came out a few weeks before the Kb4530734 was available.

After cheeking for the WU again I installed the KB4533095 one which is the optional 2019-12 Security and Quality Roll-up for the .NET framework 3.5.1. to 4.8.
Now I see that there's two others KB's KB4533005 & KB4533012 from seeing the Microsoft site. I don't have to get these two cause it was replaced by the KB4533095 one I've already installed. Right?

If the 2 .NET updates are showing up in Windows update then install them. If they don't show up in WU then they're not needed, you don't need to install them manually.

If you installed the monthly rollup then the IE security fixes are already installed. You only need to manually download/install the IE security updates if you install the Security-only updates instead of the rollups.

The KB4530734 is a Rollup WU. I installed it back on New Years. The KB4530677 is for IE11 is not a Roll Up I believe, so I asume I don't have to worry about getting it & I guess that's why its not gonna show because I got that other one that's a Rollup
