Can you install Simplix Pack after drivers are installed?

Booted up a laptop I got for the first time yesterday. It came with Win7 Home Premium preinstalled sometime around 2016. I got the Welcome screen and the "Setting up your computer for first time use" screens, and got to a desktop. The system already has the drivers installed.

Can I run the Simplix Pack now? All the instructions I see say install Simplix Pack, then drivers.

Yes.

Suggest you place the net framework add on next to the updatepack7r2.exe. Then it will install that too .

Directx

If it screws up I can always wipe the HDD and install a fresh copy of Win7 off DVD and then run Simplix and install drivers

Too late now, Simplix is running. But I should be able to install dotNet after everything is done I would think. It also looks like only a subset of drivers is installed so I will need to do an audit after this is finished.

I have no idea why. It's very commonplace and highly recommended to install drivers first, before anything else, much less Windows Updates. So yes, you can safely run it after the fact.
