Edit Text Size Without using "Display" 125%, 150%, etc. in Windows 7

Hello! I have glaucoma, and as a result of that my vision is getting progressively worse. As it stands right now, I am at a point where setting the text size to 125% isn't quite large enough anymore, but setting it to 150% causes problems with several programs I use that were written with fixed display sizes. Back in the Windows XP days I used the XP version of the Windows 7 "Window Color" editor to create a theme that worked for me. However, in Windows 7 a lot of the text editing options in it have been removed or changed, making it difficult or not possible to do.

Does a modification or program exist to give you more control over fonts in Windows 7? And if such a beast exists, where might I find it?

Thank you in advance!

Ax

Thanks for the prompt reply. But unfortunately, I have no money to spare. So unless you or anyone else knows of a free option, I suppose I'm stuck with the Magnifier. It's kind of obnoxious, and it very limited, but it works.

By the way, in your "things in life that are certain", you forgot Taxes. I have never found my way around most of them. Perhaps that is because I am not filthy rich?

Thanks!
It's more or less a half-truth. I won't get into it.
Yeah, well... Everyone knows rich people don't pay their fair share of taxes. Poor people make rich people rich, and pay taxes on their income and spending for the privilege of doing so, and the governments allow them to stay rich by giving them tax loopholes. It's a fact of "the privileges of being rich" life.

It is? I read this and figured it meant it was $9.95 for one year or $17.95 for three years. At least that it what it appears to say.

Did I misunderstand it, or miss something somewhere? (It is entirely possible, I know... Because even when I can see something, I don't always see it.)

I ran System Font Size Changer and this is what I see upon execution.

I say run it for the 30 days and if it works for you, what's a lousy $9 and change? At least it's not more than that for god sakes. A lot of software authors out there work very had making stuff like this. So I try to pay for or donate when I can and if the software deserves it. If it doesn't deserve it, then arrrrrr matey, there be a swash bucking privater near your port side. HAHAHA J/K. On the other hand, I've seen software out there go for several hundreds of dollars that really doesn't merit such a cost. So I try and find an alternative which in many cases I do. (LOL If you're looking for an alternative to the Synergy software KVM, check out Input Director instead). :D

Now I realize there are people out there (especially the younger crowd) that don't believe in handing over a few bucks for someone's hard work. But think about this. What if you had a job, say mowing lawns and you sweat and work your ass off! come to find out dude wasn't going to pay you for that hard work?

Now look at the knowledge required to even code. Do you have that knowledge, logic and years worth of experience? Depending on the program it could be many hours, days, weeks or even years to create a finished product. Even with a donation based philosophy, many just snatch and grab. That's why I try to throw money at what ever project I'm actively interested in or use. One such project is the IDontCareAboutCookies browser extension. The Dev (developer) not only took the time to code this thing, and makes it cross platform, but has actively added to the list of domains that use code to annoy the hell out of you with cookie warnings all thanks to the badly written GDPR EU law (IMO don't quote me. Not in the mood...). Ever sense I started using this extension I have yet to see a cookie warning on all the sites I normally traffic, including this one. Rare is it I see a BS cookie warning anymore. Because of that, I have donated. I've also contacted and spoke with Daniel about an issue in the code that he fixed. I took at least an hour out of my time to go over the code's execution and how it was making the loading icon in the browser stay on. I found the flaw and told him about it and to my surprise fixed it and released a new version right quick. Anyway...

I gave the two links only for information.
Hit the download link on left of either page and you can download the free versions.
You were reading the Activation page for registering the software, I suppose to get support.
I have used these in Windows XP, 7, and 8.1 for years.

I agree with everything you said about programmers getting hosed by people who are too cheap to pay for software, but as as I said before I do not have any money to spare. I have less money than I need to pay all of my bills, and it's a simple fact of life, you can not spend money you don't have.

Hit the download link on left of either page and you can download the free versions.
I did indeed miss that. Thanks!
