I have always thought that the reason Vista wasn't well received was Microsoft released it without regard to the AVAILABLE hardware.
The Processors and Memory speeds were not up to the demands of the Operating System. Hopefully your experience with your PC will be a good one. I'd like hear how you do. Good luck!

Vista works fine on b75 motherboard. I vaguely recall the setup routine doesnt like too many partitions on the target disk.

Post a screenshot of disk management window.

There is a lot of time-consuming work involved in getting Windows Vista SP2 installed and up-to-date.
The first thing you need is the proper install media.

If you are really determined to do it, this forum site is a good place to start.
Windows Vista | My Digital Life Forums

There is a very detailed install and update guide there which I created and keep updated.
You will need to sign up with a user name and password in order to access it.

According to your specs in post #3, your computer is 3rd generation Intel.
You should not have any issues with installing it and finding the appropriate drivers for it.

SIW2:
I am surprised that you were able to install Vista in an 8th generation Intel system.
I never had any success with installing it in 4th generation Intel or newer.
I was advised to stick with 3rd generation or older.

I had to make some adjustments to vista boot.wim so that it would load on an 8th gen.

There is one driver I couldnt find for vista on that 8th gen machine, acpitime.sys

Here is a 6th gen running vista on nvme
