Instructions for installing ATI HD 2400 PRO AGP, ATI HD 3850 AGP, ATI HD 3650 AGP, ATI HD 3450 AGP, ATI HD 4650 AGP, ATI HD 2600 PRO AGP

ALL MODELS x86 32-bit WDDM 1.1:

1) Download the Catalyst 9.11 32-bit driver Suite for Windows 7 from here - Drivers & Support | GAME.AMD.COM - Click on
ATI Radeon™ Video Card Drivers

2) Extract the driver folder by running the .exe you downloaded. It will extract to C:\ATI

3) Close installer after extraction. No longer necessary. Do not continue with install here.

4) Download my attachment (CL_91526.rar) and extract the .inf file from it. Save to desktop or anywhere you want.

5) Copy and paste the CL_91526.inf you just extracted directly overwriting the original at this location - C:\ATI\Support\9-11_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF

6) Go to device manager and right click on your video card. (Standard VGA or otherwise.) Update driver software, browse my computer, let me pick, have disk, browse.

7) Navigate to C:\ATI\Support\9-11_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF

8) Click (or double click) on the CL_91526.inf

9) Click ok, then click next and let it install. If it complains that it is not signed, click the part to let it install anyway.

10) Reboot if necessary. Pick an Aero theme by right clicking on desktop, Personalize. (If you previously had a working driver from ATI's site installed, you may skip this step.)

11) Run setup.exe in C:\ATI\Support\9-11_vista32_win7_32_dd_ccc_wdm_enu\Driver\
and let it complete to install the CCC, should you want the functionality. Custom mode is best used here instead of express mode, when it asks.

12) Install ATI Tray Tools (attsetup.rar in my attachments) if you wish to overclock. Ensure adequate cooling. Disclaimer - Should you choose to overclock, responsibility falls entirely on you.

13) Update your WEI score. Start menu | right click Computer | Properties | click Windows Experience Index

If you have a different AGP card, let me know. I will make you a custom .inf.
Enjoy.

Right click on video card in the display adapter section of device manager. Properties. Details tab. Change dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste results to here.

Doesn't look so good for you about drivers or for anything I can do. If there's a will there's a way, so I certainly can try.

No, I won't make an .inf file.

Not to worry. That's because the fix for you djeffree is quite simple.

Only different thing you have to do is this first.

Download the CL_83742.rar and extract the .inf from it. Open with notepad. In the third line under [ATI.Mfg.NTx86.6.0] section, change the end 9515 to 9505.

Then follow exact instructions from my first post to install using the .inf you just made. All will be well.

ATI Catalyst? Legacy Display Driver

Extract the installer to C:\ATI then close it.

Right click on video card. Update driver software. Browse. Let me pick. Have disk. Browse. Find the .inf. Double click on it. Hit ok.

If it doesn't work, .rar the .inf and attach the .rar to a post. Also then, right click card, properties. Details tab. Change dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste results here. No screenshot as alternative.

Thank You for Sapphire 3650 support

I had the Sapphire 3650 running perfectly on my old test PC perfectly with the Windows 7 Beta and RC. When I installed the retail version of Win 7, I decided to download the latest Drivers from Sapphire. After I installed the new drivers nothing happened. I tried it over and over. Finally I googled driver problems for the 3650 and found this post. I was sceptical at first, but I followed your instructions in this post. Yeeehaah! It worked first time. torrentg is truly awesome. I had to download Winrar to extract the files. I didn't even know what that was for before this. Too bad Sapphire can'nt clean up their drivers on their own. There is no need of that. Thanks Again.:D

I have installed Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, and i have a HIS Radeon HD3850 512mb AGP card. I have tried to download the driver from ATI/AMD and from HIS, but no luck. The driver from ATI/AMD don't even get installed as promised, and the driver from HIS installs, but i get an error saying that "the driver wasent installed, this driver is not for this operating system" or something like that.

Hi and welcome.

Since you installed x64, you will need to find a way to permanently disable driver enforcement or use f8 when starting the machine to disable.

Attach the .inf from the driver install after your extract from it, to a post using the paperclip. You'll have to use Winrar on it first. It will be in C:\ATI somewhere. So...attach the .rar file.

I'll edit it and then you can download my version to replace yours. (Replace and overwrite, while copying.)

Awesome about same card. It performs like crazy especially when overclocked!

Strange... When i loaded the driver, and rebooted, my computer wouldent start. So i had to restore to a earlier point. Could it be that i need to use the CH_83743.inf driver, and not the C7_83743.inf driver?
Many thanks! :)
