Install AGP Drivers for HD 3850, 3650, 2400 PRO

Strange... When i loaded the driver, and rebooted, my computer wouldent start. So i had to restore to a earlier point. Could it be that i need to use the CH_83743.inf driver, and not the C7_83743.inf driver?
Many thanks! :)

No. People have reported success on x64 with this method. The CH file is never used. Try updating your chipset drivers first.

Tried the mention and downloaded the files for Windows 7 32. Everything installs fine for Ati Sapphire HD 3650 AGP but games and video are choopy when in fullscreen. First i though it was internt, but when it happened with any video i'm thinking i did soemthing wrong.

Already formated and reinstalled the driver, having the same issues, any advise?

All drivers are upto date with K8t Neo motherboard and BIOS, not sure what else to do.

Just want to say thanks for the instructions and files.
I have an old Asus P4C800E-Deluxe, wanted to install Win 7 to get a few more years out of this board. The Win 7 upgrade advisor told me that my old ATI 9600 was not supported, so I bought a HD Raeon 4650 AGP with 1gb.

After installing Win 7 I could not get it to recognize it, I tried everything and every advice out there...no go.
I already had an RMA from TigerDirect to return the card, because the Windows 7 Compatibility Center said that there was no support at this time for the Card. Now I will not be returning the card becasue it works :D

I tried your solution, and it's working perfectly. Again, thanks for your time, I wish window support and ATI would read this Forum...

Have a great day

im using ASrock AliveDual-eSATA2

Yeah, that's an nForce3 board which is pretty much impossible to get to work on 7. A user claimed he got his to work, but I'm not sure if it's an outright lie or if it's true.

This info here could possibly help you but I doubt it.

nForce3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Most important thing it says is about the MCP driver update. Try to locate that somehow and install, if it does indeed exist (it doesn't lol.)

Sure. Use this link.

I'll have to make an .inf for you to use instead of the one in my attachments.

So in the device manager, right click on standard vga. Properties. Details tab. Change the dropdown to hardware ids. Copy and paste the results here. I'll then attach the .inf to a post.

Sure, first need to know which motherboard. Again, probably too old but we can check on it.

But the main issue I have is that it's hooked to my main 24" LCD (1920x1200) and a secondary 37" LCD TV (1920X1080) and the secondary screen has 1" underscan. Old XP CCC had and overscan/underscan adjustment. For HTPC this is critical, I don't give a rats behind for any of the other options.

I did note that display driver stopped and recoverd three times as I wrote this message.

Anytips would be helpful

I'd completely uninstall everything related to video driver because of the CCC error. Then install the video driver from scratch. Then the CCC, as the OP says.

Also, have a look at this thread because that "recovery issue" is same/similar to this - a tdr timeout.

Create your own thread in that same section if you need help with bsod.

You're welcome.

Add this line to the [ATI.Mfg.NTx86.6.0] section in CL_83742.inf then install as the OP says.

"ATI Radeon HD 3450 AGP" = ati2mtag_RV610, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_95C6

Double check in the device manager that your hardware id string is 95C6, first though.

Hi torrentg,

Just registered to say thank you for your guide. Installed the driver part without a hitch! Thanks!

Unfortunately, I was unable to get CCC installed and need your assistance. Everytime I tried to install CCC, the only 2 things that get installed are the Install Manager and ATI Registration (it stated the installation was successful and prompted me to restart. But after reboot, CCC can't be found anywhere ).

So far I have tried:

Run setup as adminstrater
Turn UAC off
Run in Vista SP2 mode

Nothing seems to help. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Hey, you're welcome. Did you try right clicking on the desktop?

Not too many reason this would happen. One possibility though is if you did an upgrade. In this case, clear the system of all ATI driver files and folders then run jv16 Powertools on aggressive setting clean the registry. Then install it all again.

Alternatively, you could use ATI Tray Tools for may different features and functions.

My main issue is getting people running with the driver. Once that is done, I consider it a success and the rest is on the end user.
