question: how many times can you install windows 7 on the same pc?

cause i have already re-installed it twice i heard that you can only install it 3 times?

I do not believe there is any limit. I mean I'm sure after 100,000 activations of the key MS would get a bit suspicious but I've re-installed Windows over 20 times, my retail key works each time.

After activating online about 5 times I had to use the phone system about the 6th time. I kept going back and forth between x86 and x64, I finally got x64 sound drives that fit my needs. So hopefully I'm done now. After about the 5th or 6th time you will just have to start calling in. I'm sure it has to do with the number of times of activation in a certain time period. Like 5 times in 30 days you have to call in and use the automated system. It will still activate just not over the net.

Does this mean that since I have activated my 32 bit W7 home premium that I can still change to the 64 bit and activate with no problem?

Try it and find out... the worst that can happen is that you will have to call MS....

Calling MS for activation is painless; whole process takes less than 5 minutes and its all automated or has been that way for me.
