Yes but not all the features, and not quickly. It will run the 32bit version possibly without all the aero features

I've got windows 7 running on a similarly aged system (P4/PCI/AGP/IDE). To make aero work, I dropped in an AGP Nvidia Geforce 6 series card. Other than that, everything else worked pretty much out of the box.

Performance is similar to that of XP on older hardware, in my experience, though disc and RAM usage are up and need to be considered. Best thing to do is try it (on a spare partition), you might be surprised at the results.

But like everyone else already said, not all the features will be functional.

One thing I noticed about the Upgrade Advisor is that it won't install on an XP 64 system. Go figure lol.
