error at start up

everytime my pc boots up i get a message pop saying
windows cant open this file
sys16.dll.vzr

done a google search on it but cant find anything :huh:

the one thing that i have noticed that dosent seem to work anymore is the zonealarm tool bar, cant get it to come on FF or IE

Why would you have two file extensions.. .dll.vzr

Sounds like a virus to me... try malwarebytes(if interested CLICK HERE.. to download the free version)..

After updating, run it in safe mode along with SuperAntiSpyware.

It really doesn't need to be run in safe mode...in fact, that could prevent it from finding some trojans as they might not be resident in memory.

Super shouldn't find anything after an MWB run.

thanks for the input yeh when i was running malwarebytes Zonealarm picked up sys16.dll.vzr asa virus and removed it, now on start up i get the programe cant start because sys16.dll is missing

This is normal behaviour. It means that the offending file was removed. You just need to remove the startup item that was trying to run it.

Start, Run, msconfig, startup, and uncheck the item that is trying to load sys16.dll. The error message won't appear next time you boot.
