ok i have my computer at my friends house as i watch his house while he is out of town... i very carefully got all my cables... i would need (power keyboard mouse etc...) and packed it all up... i brought it over to his house and set it up...

i start it up, starts up fine. enter pass tries to log in... i get to my background image. i get the spinning ball thing no icons no taskbar nothing...at first i figured it was just being slow trying to work out going from 2 monitors too 1...( i have dual monitors at my house and at friends i am only using one) so i let it go for about an hour...i got distracted. still wasnt working so i hit the infamous ctrl+alt+del........ nothing... hit it again.... nothing and a couple more times.... nothing... then i walked away thinking maybe it will load SOMETHING... it did... a black screen with a little popup saying something along the lines of...

"we are sorry but windows was not able to complete your ctrl+alt+del hotkey and bring up security information... to try agian hit esc else restart computer via front button".....

i did esc..... nothing, front button just shuts it down and i start all over... nothing is working so i restart again and think maybe its hardware... so i boot in safe mode... which is where i am posting this from... no problems other than its ugly stupid and not what i want... but it works.... so not a hardware issue.... i need solutions

I would try to go into your display settings and see if it's still setup for dual monitors or look through all the options.

You can't boot Windows normally?

Do yoy get an error message , if so what is the exact wording?

its actually a very unprofessional message... you can tell the os was in beta. it is along the lines of but not word for word.. Crtl+alt+delete didnt succeed hit esc to continue or restart computer using front power button... hitting esc just takes me to an unresponsive black screen... restarting just frustrates me more
