This ScanJet 3800 Driver for Win7x64 is still unavailable. Even tought it is listed as "Scanners Suported in Win 7"

Could the Basic Driver work?

Yes, Windows 7 supports your Scanjet model.
Re-install the scanner by first disconnecting the scanner and use the add hardware in the control panel and then connect the scanner.

Hi Adrian,

Tks for your reply, but NOPE: it is listed in 'Printers & Hardware' (I'm translating from the portuguese), as 'hp scanjet', but with an exclamation mark inside a yellow triangle. When I try to 'Solve Problem', it is noted that a driver is not installed; Win7 tries to install, but a message "hp scanjet has no driver"

That's why I was wondering if 'HP's basic driver' (with XP and Vista x64 support) could work
