HP 1018 printer won't print to the internet

Hi, I recently got a new computer with Windows 7 and installed the printer driver for the HP 1018 printer, and it prints from word, excel, pdf, etc., but it will not print from the internet. It just prints blank pages. Can anyone help? Thanks

Welcome to seven forums robyrob7: Are you using 32 or 64 bit win 7? Also is your model the 1018 or the 1018s? Hi Rob, hope I can help. My one and only printer is the HP 1018 and I have windows 7, Home Premium. I can tell you exactly what I did to get my printer to print perfectly.
First, I uninstalled the printer and removed all traces of the driver
Second I went to the HP website and downloaded, to my documents folder the driver
Third I disconnected my Firewall and A/V
Fourth With the printer physically uninstalled from the computer, I began the download
Fifth When told I connected the printer and turned it on

I was then ready to print


If that does not work, I also was able to get the Vista driver to work by using compatibility mode, using the same procedure.
