Please help me if you can.

Asus X53SR notebook stock build.

I just bought a used laptop ^ from a friend and it works fine except for random
freezing and shutdowns that result in the "windows has recovered from an unexpected
shutdown" error message. The computer came with Vista ultimate but I gave it a
fresh format-reinstall anyway and had the same problem. Over the course of a few
days the computer got excruciatingly slow and unstable. Yesterday I decided to
upgreade with a clean format-reinstall of Windows 7 ultimate. It worked fine all day
yesterday but just about an hour ago it froze, shutdown, and came up with the
error message.
Now as time goes on (1 hour) its getting slower and everything keeps freezing.
I just had to restart in safe mode with networking to edit this post.

I read in some other posts about how these things are diagnosed so I am including
some logs (minidump log and Belarc advisor) in my post that I think will be helpful.

Thank you and I will check back later.

Hi and welcome

this crash was probably caused by a critical process failing (winiint)

I would

run a system file check to verify and repair system files
type cmd in seearch>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

You also have a feew old drivers that can use to be updated

they are
Code:
secdrv.SYS 0x976c2000 0x976cc000 0x0000a000 0x45080528 9/13/2006 8:18:32 AM

Im not sure what you mean to run as administrator in cmd prompt. I have never seen such an option. i type cmd, it pops up and thats it, there are no options. Could you please elaborate? right clicking gives no option for that. just mark, copy, paste, select all, scroll, and find.

When I tried to run the scan it says I need to be administrator..
Thanks

nvm i did it from start, accessories, cmd options. will post results when finished.

ALSO how do i update those drivers? im kind of a newb to this stuff...

If you right click on the title bar in a cmd window you should be given the option to run as administrator.
My account is already admin so I dont need to and if yours is as well neither do you

I can assume you arent overclocking
or running a raid

try downloading memtestx86 and run it for several hours to see if either your ram or a heat issue presents itself. You can also download cpu-z and gpu-z to check the temps. they arre both free.

Good luck

Since this is a used computer, you should also get a can of air, open the panels on the back, and clean it out. It could be full of dust and cat/dog hair. Also run a temp monitor, like coretemp.
