Well I used to.. until I installed Vista back on my laptop to figure out what the problem is with my laptop is with BSODs happening to me every one in a while when Windows 7 Home Premium 64 was installed on my laptop.

I don't have the mini dump file for the BSOD errors but I do have photos of the BSOD messages thanks to my fairly high quality digital camera.

They are normally 7A and F4s.

Here are the photos:
One
Two
Three

So I was still wondering this the problem I have is related the sticky thread on this section of the forums or not.

Before I used to disable the auto restart on BSOD, I usually wake up to a message saying that the Hard Drive is not detected and the problem would be fixed when I do a hard reset(such as turning off and then turning it back on).

I'm still seeing if it's a common problem or not.
Gotta sleep.

What I forgot to add was that those BSODs only occurred when I am away from the keyboard either when I'm sleeping or at work/college.

I experienced a BSOD only one time when I was on the computer.. that was because a browser was causing it and had to uninstall it which was a few months ago.

Other than that the rest of the BSODs only happened when being afk.

Could it be the hibernating/sleeping issue that everyone was talking about, or something else?

Well unfortunately, my laptop does not write dumps as you see in my photos, it says that it failed to write a dump as I assume no mini dump was written when it crashed on me so...

If those BSOD photos don't do the justice, than I really don't know what's causing it.

Ok if none exist you need to go into system control panel advanced>startup> check enable dump file see pic

I also did that too a while ago and still didn't write a dump..

But I will try again one more time. If I ever get a BSOD with this new installation of Windows 7, I will let everyone know what happened.

How much free space on the drive? Is it over 25 gB?
Do you have this entry in the registry?:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CrashControl

"AlwaysKeepMemoryDump"=dword:00000001

My hard drive is way over 25GB, and I have around ~100GB available space.

And yes I have just now entered that in the registry.
I hope this Win7 HP recognize that command too.
