Do you have more than one harddrive in your system? If so, check in the BIOS and see if the one with Windows 7 installed on it is set as the first in boot priority.

How long did you leave it?With my own it takes about 30seconds to boot up after the flashing underscore appears.
Or does it mention missing bootmngr?

You could try putting the installation disk back in, and run start up repair 3 times.
If this does not solve your issue we can look at other possibiltes.

Put the Win7 Cd in and let it start.
When it comes up "press any key to boot from CD" pres nothing.
If it gives an error, what is it?
This will determine 2 things,if windows recognizes a start up error and if your HD is actually booting.
In Bios make sure that your HD is selected as boot priority (i.e make sure it is on the list)

And did you run start up repair 3 times?

Relax lad,i know its frustrating but everyone here is spending there free time to try to lend a hand:)

If you can access another pc with internet connection:
Find out what motherboard you have-download the drivers and load them manually via the repair console.
See if it will boot then.

Also if you can download partition wizard boot disc
Free Download Partition Wizard
Burn this to a cd and boot from it.
Then have a look at your HD via it.
Is your Partition with Win7 on it set as NTFS,Primary and active?

Seems like there have been a few issues lately with TB HDs. I'm not sure what they all have in common but I would focus my efforts in that direction. Is this a fresh system build? Is the HDD formatted, and if so, how? Try putting it in another Win7 computer and formatting it. Then, disconnect the other HDDs in that computer and try installing 7.

This will at least isolate your issues.

Once you install Win7 in another computer as Roger suggests, then move the HDD back to the problem computer.

This has worked for me a dozen times when I couldn't get DVD or flash stick to boot for clean formatted install.
If it starts up, it will swap out all the drivers requesting several restarts. If it makes it that far, there are rarely any file system or OS problems.

You just need to wait til the HD is back in it's computer before activating.
