Hello sister & Happy New Year to you,
To better enable us to help you please fill in all of your system specs.

Also list the other Security progs that you are running - Anti Virus, Anti Malware, Defender etc.
Did your computer come pre loaded with an Anti Virus Prog. If so, what was it?
Sister,I don't know if it came with a firewall,I have AVG and I think that has a firewall on it.
- Open Windows Firewall by clicking the Start button
, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type firewall, and then click Windows Firewall.![]()
- In the left pane, click Turn Windows Firewall on or off.
If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.![]()
Hi, Sister.
If you have the free version of AVG, it does not include a firewall. Only the paid/licensed version of AVG includes a firewall.

Click the flag icon in the system tray on the bottom right, choose to open action centre and then click the arrow next to security. Under Firewall, Windows's built in one should be active or one of your installed antivirus app's. There might be link to see the firewalls on your pc - and in this case the built in one should be disabled. As for AVG you can choose to uninstall it, using a removal tool, and then switch to Microsoft's Security Essentials.
Were you aware that sister said that she had the paid version of AVG?
It is uncommon for people to pay for software & then ditch it readily.
