The poster here does not have the same exact problem, but the solutions are perfect for you

Try these

Re: Sluggish online performance & Awful video reception ***Please Help! - lenovo community

I was going to start to guess, myself but then I found this link. The ideas are the same as the ones that I had, but its best if you decide which is the best for you.

I personally would download FF and see if it works.
thanks for the info sir...but according to that link its all of its browser performance is sluggish...mine is not when im browse its very good...unless u watch u tube or play farmville.toggle it in full screen mode and ur done...and all i have to do is open the task manager and end it...

Same problem, any resolution?

Or at least I believe it is the same problem.

I bought my wife a Dell XPS Studio 16 for Christmas and it seems to work fine on everything except farmville where after a minute or two the screen would turn white and the entire computer would lock up. I tried updating all the drivers and the bios, no luck. Tried using IE (yuck) no luck. Did a clean reinstall of Win 7, no luck. I did somewhat relieve the problem by finding the newest beta version of flash. Now, instead of the whole computer crashing, just the browser crashes and since I have firefox set to reopen with the same tabs it seems to bounce right back to where it was before it crashed. Does this constantly so I'm hoping you found a solution. Near as I can tell this problem is always limited to farmville, hulu and a couple of other flash sites work great.

Details:
Dell XPS Studio 16
Windows 7 64bit Home Premium
6GB RAM
Using 32bit browser
ATI Mobility RADEON HD 4670 1GB
Intel Core i7 720QM 1.6GHz (2.8 GHz Turbo Mode, 6MB Cache)
