But why in the world would you want to turn Aero off?
That would just be silly. Aero works on the graphics card, anything else you chose would steal CPU time from everything else.I can only imagine he would want it off to increase performance maybe?

AERO is rendered all on the GPU and while it does use a little bit of RAM...that isn't the bottleneck here...That would just be silly. Yeah but doesn't aero slow things down if you don't have good ram or graphics card? Not trying to contradict you here, actually trying to learn a bit more about itHe hasn't posted his specs so not sure if his graphics card can fully support aero.
Can't imagine another reason... Personally, I love aero but have read if you have don't have a good graphics card or enough ram, it can slow your system down???

Can ya tell I'm trying to learn stuff?![]()
does it actually help with gaming if its in Basic? surely the GPU isnt trying to render the Aero effects UNDER the game is it? that would just be silly.....
