Black screen of hanging?

So heres my issue, after about a 2 weeks on my new pc running windows 7 home premeium, i noticed an issue. Whenever I logged into my account everything would be black, but id see my cursor and id be able to move it, however right click, ctrl alt delete, and the windows key do nothing, my question is, what the hell is going on? (I ran a virus scan with avast and malware bytes no detected threats ) Oh btw after a minute or 2 of waiting my desktop shows >.> This is starting to annoy me

It sound as if your machine is doing some sort of check before it opens, before we try that avenue
go into msconfig.

Msconfig/Startup.Hi, at the Start Orb / Search, type into the box msconfig click and open it at the top of the Menu page. When the window opens choose Start-up and click on it, Uncheck all the boxes, except your Anti Virus one. Click apply, then OK, and then Restart. Your Machine will shut down then, and restart. Lets see if it is one of those programs in there that was causing the grief.

This is normal, except the amount of time involved in reaching desktop. It sounds as though you have some drivers that are slow to load. Start out by doing a selective startup by disabling everything on the Startup Tab of msconfig. If this improve the time, it means that one or more of your startup items is causing the problem. Reenable them one at a time, until you have found the culprit(s).

If disabling those items makes no difference, or not enough of a difference, then you have to start looking at the drivers being used by items in the Device Manager. Even though Windows loads a lot of drivers at the intial installation, look for drivers from the manufacturer's website and install the latest found. To do this may require you to install them from Safe Mode, because Windows can be somewhat contrary, and claims that it already has the latest and greatest installed.

thank you both, but no luck, i heard this is a side effect of the sshnass.dll, the problems started after my AV detected sshnass.dll as a virus, and this happened next time i restarted, it weould also nag me saying sshnass.dll was not found, today is the day i used a fix from the internet to remove the error and clean my regitry but the black screen effect is still there, any way to fix this without reinstalling windows? Cause tbh i have alot of stuff installed i dont wanna lose and i only have a 1gb thumbdrive, how will that back up 300 gb of files

If that doesn't work, there is System Restore and a repair install.

and when i buyed this it didnt come with a CD, and system restore doesnt go that far back -.- i had this problem a long time ago but i thought it would go away but now it isnt so im posting here

Your running out of options do as seekermeister suggests and do a Repair install.

When you bought what...the computer or the OS? If the latter, you should be able to burn a CD from the download, or locate a download to burn a CD from. If the former, I don't understand why you wouldn't have a CD, because even OEMs normally have their own version of the installation CD available.

I did a repair install after burning a repair disc. It fixed it temporarily but it came back randomly this time. No virus detected while it happened, it was working fine. I shut it off for the night turned it on the next day and I get this annoying black screen
