That could depend on a number of factors, such as what clock speed it was run at (higher mhz yield higher 'bandwidth' scores, or the timings used etc)

Often, the difference between a benchmark score and 'actual real world speed' is largely unnoticeable, if at all in some cases.

BTW: A strange phenomenon: according to "winsat mem", I gain +300 MB/s when I run the assessment while WinAmp is playing music in the background. I have tried it several times, it is always the case. If it would be the other way around, then I was not surprised... Thus, it seems that "winsat mem" is not that consistent.

lol, winsat mem is not particularity consistent. The best time to run it to receive close to your 'real' score, is when the system is idle.

ie When everything is settled down. Even then there will always be a disparity between each individual run. This disparity is lessened when the system is 'idle'.

Since RAM usage is dynamic, (it's always reading/copying something etc) you will always receive a different score.

For s's & giggles, I recently ran it straight after booting and it jumped from between 20000 MB/s to 31000 MB/s, back to 20000 MB/s back up to 30000 MB/s etc, lol

Whereas my 'real' current average is 21600 MB/s.

Normally just build and use stock although I did OC one comp (Athlon 64 3000+ / 15%) in the past. Attached is a shot from my latest mild build. Specs decent enough to not tinker or should I tweak? Not a gamer, just office, image/video editing, and CAD (Sketchup).

TBH, I doubt you would notice any real serious benefit for what you want to do.

Much appreciate the reply! Kind of figured performance tweaking would likely have minimal effect for my needs. Scanning through the thread it also looks like my numbers fall about average based on components.

Not over clocked or anything special. Just running normal. I realize that my MB defaults to 1066 with the 12 gigs memory installed. I could over clock the base freq in Bios but I really don't need to do that for my use.

To put plainly, the higher the number, the faster your RAM works... The line stating 'Memory performance' shows the number of MegaBytes your memory can process every second at full speed, so the faster the better.

Your PC specs don't show anything about the type or speed of RAM your computer has, so there isn't really any way we can tell if it's 'good' or not. If you're running DDR2 at 800MHz, then it is a bit slow.. :sarc: If you're running RAM at 400MHz or 533MHz, then I guess it's probably decent.. Hope that helps clear it up a bit.
