Sound Blaster Live! 24-bit external - dead subwoofer

Hi,

it's the same on my side, but even if I go through the manual install, click have disk button, click have disk button, Windows starts installing and then I receive the INF error... I know it's is slight possibility but can you provide me your drivers (perhaps you have newer disk or something). thanks

thanks for the driver, it installed correctly, but the device is not working... in device manager, properties, I got this message: The device can't start. (code 10)

what version of windows 7 are you using? maybe this is the cause.. I'm using ultimate, also did you run the latest updates ?

If you can, try installing windows 7 ultimate and see what happens. I know that it's the last solution left, but in my case with 7 ultimate the sound driver works, so.. in case you wanted bad, try it.. all you have to loose is some couple of hours

I fixed my Creative SB live! 24bit external soundcard

Here's the instructions how i made it:

First of all remove all your driver from your Windows(u can keep the laptop sound driver)

You will need the creative "Installation CD for Windows Vista TM"
1. Go to Start>>Control Panel>>Programs>>(in the top of the windows there's an option named "Run programs made for previous version of Windows"
click on it.
2. There is an option with "advanced" click on it and after "next"
3.Click on "not listed" Browse then mount your CD with Vista installed mount the setup exe
4. Setup all stuff u want.
5. Download the new driver for Windows 7 x64 from Creative homepage for Creative SB live! 24bit external here's the driver i got "USB_W7DRV_LB_1_01_0099"
6. Install the driver, restart your PC and it will work i hope

I made this all by myself and it worked for me its nice and from vista CD i got 15+DB try it maybe it work's

Pocok, you don't have the problem with weird noises (when you listen to music and a system sound is played, some weird sounds are being played) ? And does it affect the sound when you change the settings in the Audio Center? I did install like you wrote instead of installing the USB_W7DRV_LB_1_01_0099 driver cause I'm afriad of that wierd noise problem. Overall it's allright, only that when I change the settings in Audio Center there is no change in sound. Does it all work well for you?

EDIT:

I installed the USB_W7DRV_LB_1_01_0099 driver and it's working! So far no strange noises. All the Audio Center and other programs works. Cool! Great thanks for you Pocok!

I install driver 00099 and from vista download "Creative Audio Center 1.10.12" After its All OK.
