No gaming on 6956 ??

i had another try, ''C&C 3 red alert'' turned up in the post today so i tried it on 6956 & it failed so i installed it on vista ......

zm91... ATI or NVIDIA..?? what drivers are you using..??

what he meant is that he wouldnt be posting it here if he wasnt confirming it worked in 6956...

i might check if some games work
also you can check my specs...(laptop is the test machine)
see i have ATi
im using base drivers since i find those the most stable

i use 6801 and i got every game working.... apart from GTA 4 got game installed but when game starts up car wont move or anything so i did system requirements lab on GTA4 and it came up in RED saying os failed!!! any help on this at all please.

umm so far the sucess has been on 6956
so can try that
and i believe you already have a thread on that (or i saw that this was posted...)

games like NFS Undercover, RA3, etc. all runs fine on 6801.

the only game i played on 6956 is GTA IV, so i dont really know about the rest of the games.

and im using the latest NVIDIA ForceWare 180.84 BETA provided at nzone.

brilliant just what i wanted to know mate thank you glad you got GTA4 sorted on this bulid cuz i couldnt get it work on 6801 so i will go on to the 6956 oh i just thought its only 32bit NOT 64bit oh well.... i will wait for a 64bit when will it be out ?

i cant understand why GTA4 is the only game that will run on 6956..??? (for nvidia users)

i did manage to run 3DMARK06 though, so i know the new build is capable, just cannot figure it out...

haha, that's cool. 6956 is a much better build. but it could have been better with a proper installer.

as for 64-bit, i doubt there will be as the leaked version was a VHD and it's 32-bit.

shame that 64bit wont be out cuz i got lots of ram funny thing was with GTA 4 it installed in compatibility mode but soon has game starts nothing will move on the screen the car bit at the beginning wont move it moves for a second and thats it made me so angry i dont think its worth going to 6956 32bit just to play one game. so i will hold out for beta1 jan 09 anyone know then if there will be 64bit released ? thnx in advance.

well, if the person who leaked this build leaked the 64-bit too, maybe there'll be.

and beta1 is soon, and for sure there will be 64-bit.

this person in question was only able to leak the x32 because he was able to offload it from a test machine and i dont remember correctly all if all were 32-bit (or most are 32 bit)

but by that time it will public beta time....

Hi, there so my question is when will the next windows 7 x64 bit be out im useing 6801 but im very dissapointed the only game i was realy looking forward to playing now wont play on it. GTA 4

at least thats how it looks...

it was said to be released on Jan 13 2009 which is just a month later!
and if the beta is leaked officially, then there will be x64 just like the build 6801.

as for GTA IV on 6801, i am sure it should run.

i ordered ''crysis warhead'' 2 days ago along with ''mercenaries 2'' i will try both of these when they arrive, but im not holding my breath....lol, i think its a problem with my install
