1) My window 7 professional start lagging few days ago.I don't know what is the exact problem thus i format my laptop for several time but the result are still the same. lagging syndrome:

-When i turn on my computer, it will randomly lagging at certain time and if i'm lucky the lagging just for a while otherwise my laptop need a force shutdown.:(

-when i'm using a wireless network, my laptop detected and used the current network for certain amount of time and then the network disconnected. when i diagnose the problem, my laptop can't detect the wireless driver and when i checked, the driver was gone!!:mad:

2) can someone please tell me what are the problems that i am facing right now?is it a malware??or virus??if so, why it still there even if i already format my laptop??

Hi ulat
It is difficult to help here without you complete your system details. Also is your copy on Win 7 32 or 64 bit. Also where did the copy come from? Is it a download or a retail purchase? Have you performed an upgrade from Vista or have you a done a clean install? Please give as much detail as possible.

Hi ulat

After the re-installation, did you load the drivers for your graphics card, chipsets etc?
Sometimes, although this is less of an issue with Windows 7, some systems appear to run "impaired' if the correct drivers for the hardware devices have not been installed correctly.
Others here may offer different strategies, but for me, a re-installation procedure is normally as follows:

  1. Install OS
  2. Install motherboard chipset drivers
  3. Install on-board-hardware drivers e.g. for sound, graphics etc
  4. Install hardware device drivers, e.g. mouse, keyboard etc (those which have not been automatically configured and installed by windows)...
  5. Once these have been completed, and the system appears stable, I would then, progressively, commence installation of the software packages (security tools first, then other essential apps such as email clients etc.)
  6. Final step, due to our very limited internet speeds, would be to connect to the net and search for updates for the security tools and the OS plus a check on the appropriate website for updated hardware drivers (Most times, I carry out this step before loading other apps like office etc.)
  7. Allow at least a couple of days for the system to settle in before letting loose (this generally allows me to monitor and identify any issues that could contribute to any failures apart from making it easier to troubleshoot as the system is still very basic)

Hope this is of some help

Regards

hi mitchell,

i used the window 7 professional edition 32 bit as i downloaded it form Microsoft Msdna site. yes, i have installed the clean copy of window 7 without any upgrade from vista or else.

currently using compact v3000 laptop integrated with nvdia graphic. My friend said that the problem might happen because of graphic chipset overheating. is it true??
and from my search over internet, they said that it is maybe a malware...:huh:
but i'm not sure about it..

~it is a pressure to have such problem..argg!!!:mad:~

thanks for your reply:):)

Try doing a repair install.. if you problem remains, then I would suspect that you have a hardware problem some where...

If you suspect heat problems, you can get CPU-Z for core temps and GPU-Z for Graphics card/chip temps.

CPUID

GPU-Z Video card GPU Information Utility

The issue with heat is called Throttling and it should have a T1 - T4 designation somewhere on the page to show that Throttling is enabled and what type of throttling is used. Throttling is used to slow down the cpu/gpu to allow it to cool. Thermal throttling - Overclocking Wiki

i tried to use it just now..unfortunately, i can't even log on my windows as it got hang..and for your information, i already do the thermal throttling thing..but still the problem occur..:huh::huh:

If you think this then download the free version of Malware from here:
Malwarebytes
and see if that has any effect. As you haven't given any spec details did you check your laptop with the Win 7 upgrade advisor before installing?
