What's your memory assessment speed?

(...) additionally a lot also depends on criterial validity (does a test actually measure what it's supposed to find out): you can perform quite well in a vocab test when you study hard, but that doesn't mean you can actually produce one single correct sentence in English!

I agree with you. I could talk about school system for hours, mostly about the one in my country (compared to other ones), however it is not the main subject of this thread :zip:

you are even better than RAM cause upgrading only costs time and no money!

Gonna speed up my brain frequency from 400 to 533Mhz before going back to courses ;)

...and you'll never have a problem with incompatibility due to new socket standards.

I can't agree with that point, there are plenty of people who do not have the good socket fully compatible with the now reality.
Nevertheless, if you talk about internal body incompatibilities there can be an exception: transplants :p

I admit, my metaphors are not solid to the last detail...my biological CPU seems to have a serious I/O incompatibility issue with mathematical or physical processes/phenomenons of any kind (ask my math teachers, they would give me an 'experience index rating' of maximum 2 out of 7.9)! ;)

But enough OT talk, I'll shut up and go back to computer-related issues...

I have buried my mathematical and physical sciences books, after I burnt them, the day after the results of my bachelor of science :D

But enough talked about that, it makes me remember of a difficult part of my life :p

EDIT:

now that we are all settled and satisfied with our RAM settings, here are some other results to talk about in the respective threads:

I did not see this edit before sry  Anyway, Okay with it ;)

Btw, I earned 0.1 WEI RAM pt during the last night

This is a shot of 2x1GIG @533Mhz which I used in the old Pentium 4 system (posted on page 26) against what I'm using right now.

For comparison, it should be up around here: (and mines currently a little slow)

That's a nice boot time

I was playing around today with OC'ing and now my boot time is 80
Didn't check it after the new OS install, but it was pretty fast, will start tweaking to see if I can bring it back :o

Hi bloke, I am hoping i havent come in a t the wrong place - i am not used to posting - anywayhere goes . i have used a programme called Speccy on my machine and have found somehing strange. I am supposed to have 2gb ddr3 8l00mhz but speccy says its running at 399 mhz.
Has anyone got any suggestions. I ran winsat mem and i have attached the result here
That is correct and perfectly normal... Any RAM with the term 'DDR' in it refers to Double Data Rate, the clock speed reported by 90% of system reporting programs will report the core clock speed of the RAM.

If you want to find out more, read up on Wiki's page here. Hope that helps... :D

Been a little while since I've been here, and thought I would see what mine did. I assuming this is ok? 6 gig ocz triple OCZ3G1600LV2G. Timings at 8-8-8-24 1T, and I think the highest I could ever get it was 738.1 mhz
Thanks

That's perfectly fine, particularly since it's not running at the full 1600mhz.

I have the same RAM and for comparison sake:

*NB* I am currently playing with timings as well which affects the score a little.

Has anyone got any suggestions.

If you could download CPU-Z and post a screenshot of both your 'Memory' and 'SPD' Tabs we can have a look see.
