Just wondering if anybody else hasn't gotten an update for MSE in two days.

I've tried updating several times, it searches and comes back to this screen.

I even uninstalled and re-installed just to make sure.

Looks the same for me, asides from the time zone difference.

I had the same exact problem so I manually downloaded the signature at https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0 and it seems to be up to date, at least for now.

What i dont understand is why MSE reports itself us upto date :huh: 2 days is definitely not up to date

Just out of interest do you guys use MSE as a stand-alone as i do or do you use another such as AVG??

AVG should not be used with MSE as they are both Real Time scanners. Remember the Highlander Rule: There Can be Only One.

However, I use Malwarebytes once a month just to be sure. That's on demand so it doesn't interfere with MSE.

yeah me 2, only use MSE but also have Malwarebytes, Spybot SD and A-squared, run them once a month or so

It seems that this is a universal problem at the moment, being reported elsewhere as well. As you already know, you can download the latest updates for MSE from https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Definitions/ADL.aspx?wa=wsignin1.0

Of course i am. Never had any problems.

Well if it works for you....

I doubt you will find many people who would recommend it though, AV's have a habit of fighting each other in Realtime
