Slow laptop after repair

sorry I am new to this. I will quickly tell you what's wrong with my computer.
Recenlty I did system repair on my windows 7 laptop. After that, I noticed that my laptop has gotten slower. it takes about 3 mins to boot instead of the usual 45- 50 sec. Upon booting to the destop, I get a notification saying "windows failed to connect to a windows service."

I did system repair on my windows 7 laptop because it won't allow me to play sd cards. After that, I saw my laptop boot alot slower. It usually takes about 45 seconds for my laptop to boot up but not anymore. Upon reaching to the destop, I get a notification saying "Windows failed to connect to a service."

Follow the clean boot carelfully. We will determine the cause and then fix it.

thanks for that but I have done it already. It seems that if boot in safe mode then everything is fine. If not then the problem is still there

If you use my procedure, you boot with little services etc (like safe mode) and then slowly put them back to find the cause.

Are you saying go to msconfig, click services, hide services then untick the ones you don't want?

I have done that and it doesnt work
I have typing winsock reset [something like that] and it still doesnt work. Don't tell me that I have to reinstall windows 7:

Be warned this is a Long Process

see if there is anything in The Performace and information tools section

Open Control Panel and Search for Perforace and Information

Then click Performance and Information Tools


This will bring up WEI , In the left hand Pane select Advanced Options and Click on any Warning messages at the Top if there are any

Restart your Computer and They should come back I am not 100% Sure

Failed to connect to a Windows Service

After I rebooted my computer, I get this message "Failed to connect to a Windows Service"

What bothers me the most is that this is one of the main reasons why my laptop has gotten slower. I have tried doing the following:
1. reset winsock in command prompt
2. clean boot
3. scanned my computer for viruses- norton internet security 2010, super antispyware free edition and malware bytes
4. Uninstalled norton internet security 2010

I don't know what to do now. My last option is to reinstall windows 7 but I am afraid of doing that. What should I do now?

Make a through antivirus scan
Download and scan with malwarebytes

I just don't know what the problem. I did a system repair and expected everything to be back to normal but no, this occured.

i think this notification is slowing my computer down. What do you think?

Do you have a system image that goes back before the problem started?
