Verizon UM175VW aircard not connecting to Windows 7 Laptop

Hello, my Verizon aircard is not being detected when i run VZAccess manager, it tells me to insert the aircard for detection but when i do, it never gets detected. This aircard works on my vista 64-bit desktop but not with this windows 7 laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Uninstall VZAccess manager, install it using Vista Compatability

The card should detect fine after you do that

nevermind, ive already tried the xp and vista compatabilties before and its doing the same thing.

Not run the program as, actually install the program using vista compatibility.

Same way you would run the program as vista, do it with the install file.

But first, be sure to uninstall the program and reboot.

so i put the disk in and when it says instal or run i click on instal? i dont see how to do it differently

Follow these steps:


1. Install the VZ Access Manager UM175 application available at www.vzam.net. Click thru all screens. You will get a small msg box that says "OS not Supported". Close the app. The Pantech UM175 drivers will not be installed successfully. You can confirm this in Device Manager.

2. Go to Program folder where VZ Access folder is installed and open the Drivers folder.

3. Right click on the Setup.exe and choose Troubleshoot Compatibility.

4. Select either Vista or Win XP as the target.

5. Finally, click on the Setup.exe and it will successfully install the UM175 drivers.
