Only 2.5 GB available RAM out of 4 GB 64 bit OS

Hi

I have installed windows 7 HP 64 bit on a machine with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, although in msinfo32.exe it says that i have only 2.50 GB available.

Hopefully I have attached a screenshot of the msinfo32 window (I am not sure if it worked or not) to let you see the problem.

The total physical memory seems correct yet the available memory should be more, shouldn't it?

Whenever I set it to 0 and go back in, it has changed to 256 mb. I don't want to restart yet in case it has to boot with 256 mb ram

BTW after changing the system config to 0 RAM and rebooting, windows couldn't start so I changed it back in safe mode.
