(note it will reinstall automatically and should pick up drivers )

IF you are not using VM of any desciption, delete as above
i take it this is a security device?? (from Aladdin Knowledge Systems)


NOW CREATE a Restore Point or Image

Afternoon,


toredo tunneling uninstalled as no option to delete it,i think if the marker was against it then drivers etc wernt installed so i couldnt use what ever it was anyway.


virtual usb multikey also uninstalled.


System restore completed.


Ive delete all the items mentioned.


MicroGuard deleted.


Both Silicon Labs after that also delete.


Please advise what to do now.

Just an update for you.
I run a deep scan using AVG which took 4 1/2 hours & pc is ok with no virus / maleware etc.

back to the working week, good weekend??

Anyway, hows it booting now.

Im not a fan of AVG, to much bloatware included, and possibly another cause of slow boot.
Have you got it set to do a pre-boot scan.


I would replace it with Bitdefender Free, so much lighter.

Anyway, couple more things to run.

From an Admin command prompt

1) sfc /scannow
2) chkdsk /r

then kb947821

I also ran the chkdsk / r it run for a few hours then pc restarted with a message system clean then continued to load desktop.

From that report there are a number of files the system could not repair the kb will also attempt to fix them, or if not provide us the required details to fix them.


As for pre boot scan - IF available in AVG, it will be in thier settings options

Let me stop you there a moment.


The PC has a partition called F
My main PC is the C drive.


I only use 1 piece of software on the F drive


Last night my laptop dies so i removed the SSD which has Windows 10 on it which has the 1 piece of software that i run.


Is it pointless now repairing this that you mentioned above if im to delete the f DRIVE ?


I plan to put the SSD into my PC & use that drive to run my piece of software on.

Now sorted by fitting 2 x SSD
