Solved spoolsv.exe trying to access internet

Hello All
Could someone tell me why "spoolsv.exe"
would need to access the internet.
This is the information AVG is giving me:
Application: Spooler SubSystem

that it's "incoming". How could that be if I

The process is not accessing the internet. It is accessing a local network resource. 10.x.x.x is a private IP address that is not route-able on the internet. Its probbably a network printer.

I posted some links to articles in your topic at TCW. Personally, unless you have an extensive network, I think you may be over-analyzing things. Have some trust in your firewall, modem and other security software.

As I indicated in your topic at the other site, it is most important that you have a firewall/router, up-to-date antivirus software and security updates installed. In addition, make sure third party software is current.

To ensure your system is up-to-date, I suggest either Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) (installed as a stand alone application) or the Secunia Online Software Inspector (OSI). Golden published a nice tutorial on the Secunia ONLINE Software Inspector that you may find helpful if you've never used it before.
