Windows 7: What is 'System Requirements Lab Detection'?

Hi, I just visited the link Intel® Driver Update Utility as given above.

I have used this driver utility in the past to check that I have the latest drivers for my motherboard chipset, and to install these drivers. This seems the best (and possibly almost the only) way to get the guaranteed latest drivers from Intel for their onboard graphics etc. (For example, the drivers for my onboard graphics included the latest supported OpenCL version, which is useful for 3D graphics rendering.)

But I noticed that the page which this link took me to, said that versions 2.0 to 2.3 of the Intel Driver Update Utility have a potential vulnerability.

Therefore I am going to upgrade (using this same Intel site) to version 2.4 or later, and I strongly suggest that anyone with this Utility installed should do the same.
