Hello,

Lately I've been getting Blue Screens of Death on a weekly/daily basis. It always seems to be the same cause but I've had trouble finding any sort of a solution. With my limited knowledge of software architecture all I can decipher is that it's a "live kernel event" and that the graphics drivers seem to be part of the problem. When looked at with BlueScreenViewer it seems like it's a DirectX event.

The problem started occurring several weeks ago and since then I've reinstalled older graphics drivers and update to a newer one that was released but the problem persisted. The event itself has happened under several different circumstances; gaming, watching series on VLC, using Firefox, reading .EPUB files, etc...

I run my graphics cards in SLI, I have a solid build that's been tested and used a lot since I built it a few years ago, the cards do overheat if I run FurMark for too long, but I don't do anything nearly as intensive normally. I've logged and monitored my temps while going about my day and the cards usually work at about 30-35 degrees in idle and 70-75 degrees at the absolute highest while gaming for several hours on end. Nothing else in my system is overheating either. I did a fresh install a of w7 a few months ago when I laid my hands on a new SSD but it's been working as expected.

I don't recall experiencing any other abnormalities than this same sort of BSOD, only time the build ever gave me problems was in the very first weeks after building it, but nothing major that I couldn't resolve on my own.

(Edit) PS. My PSU is a Corsair AX850.

Regards,
Anton
