Solved 2 system reserved partitions

i promise you i did delete down to unallocated, it all greyed out and said unallocated in PW!

that most recent PW link posted doesn't go to the same place as the first one!

anyway, disk management doesn't let me set the drives as inactive so I'll have a go at that tutorial you've linked unless i should try something else first?

This is how your Disk Management should end up, disregard Disk 0 in this example, my ASMedia sata controllers are the primary controllers on this board and that`s just where the Intel SSD ends up, but just ignore it.

Look at Drives 2 through 6, that`s exactly how your Drives 1 and 2 should look. No Page File and Not marked Active.

all good now?

Beautiful, Absolutely Perfect !!!

Excellent Job (d)

You have been repped for doing such a good job !!!!

One odd thing I see though is, why doesn`t the 500 GB Seagate SSD show up as 465 GB, that is strange. Did that drive ever have Linux on it ?

You mentioned you got it off a friend, so you might want to ask him, but a 500 GB drive should read 465 GB in windows. (as per my pic in reply #20)

In fact, I did not even know that Seagate made SSD`s, are you sure it is one ?????

Can you post a link to the model ?

I would also change the drive letter on your dvd drive to Z, that way you can change Disks 1 and 2 to D and E

Keeps the drive letters in order and will just look way better, so easy to do, why not just do it ;)

Leave that Hibernation Partition alone, if it was put there by the manufacturer it`s there for a reason. Until the day you yourself install windows again on that drive, I would not touch it.

i think it might actually be a 480GB laptop SSD -
Seagate 600 Series ST480HM000 480 GB: https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/Seagate/600_SSD_480_GB/1.html

not on the seagate website though so might be discontinued?

OK then just change your description in Disk Management and your golden, personally I never put the size of a drive in the description, no need to, it does it already :)
