I have a Dell XPS 15 Z laptop with 6 GB of RAM, 4 x 2.53 GHz processors and 500 GB hard drive which is only about half full. The operating system is Windows 7 Pro/ 64. All updates are current. I have Kaspersky anti-virus, malware bytes, & spybot search and destroy. All of which say the computer is clean.
I have repeatedly successfully installed 2 Windows updates:
Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB2836939)
Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework 4 on XP, Server 2003, Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB2858302)
Then, within a a few minutes I am notified that 2 new updates are available... The same ones. Just to make sure the update were truly successful, I have reinstalled them several times with the same result.
Occasionally there are other Windows updates included along with my two familiar ones. The others install fine and I never hear anything more about them. But the two above will soon come back as new updates available.
Though I can certainly ignore responding to these update notifications, it would be kind and nice to get it fixed.
Thanks Larry
