Greetings,

I have been trying to solve this issue on my own for months now, and i have gotten to the point that i believe the only thing i can do to correct this issue is to wipe my system clean and reinstall Windows 8.1(64bit). I hope someone here can help.

The 2 updates i am having issues with are the following:

KB2990967 and KB3035583

Both updates while using Windows Updates show that they install successfully, but they do not actually install. Windows Update then shows the updates again and allows me to attempt to install them again. The updates never show up in Add/Remove as Installed Updates.

Attempting to install KB2990967 manually says that it installs without issue and with no errors in Windows Setup Logs, but again, doesn't add the update to Add/Remove and any attempt to reinstall it manually allows the install to attempt instead of returning the normal error for already installed updates.

I'm left to think the issue is related to corruption in my system registry, either an incorrect GUID or a permissions issue.

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
and
sfc /scannow

have been ran multiple times on this system.

SFC currently doesn't find any integrity violations, although it had in the past and repaired them.
DISM always reports "The restore operation completed successfully. The component store corruption was repaired.
The operation completed successfully."

Attached to this post should be the CBS Folder and log as well as the DISM log.

Other Windows Updates install without issue, only these 2 are currently causing this problem.

Thank you in advance.

Unless you plan on installing Windows 10 on this machine, you don't need KB3035583 ;) - simply Hide it.
KB2990967 is related to OneDrive (for Windows 8.x only!) - the simplest fix is probably to uninstall OneDrive, and then reinstall it from a fresh download.
